Senior .NET Developer

Job Description

The Senior Developer manages the introduction, enhancement and maintenance of Operational Information Systems in line with business processes and functional requirements. This person is also responsible for end user guidance, training and support.  This role spearheads all of the software development activities related to information systems that serve the operational areas. Overseeing the internal or external development teams, he/she manages the full life cycle of the process, monitoring research, reviewing codes and supervising any testing and documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Manage the systems development life cycle for operational software solutions for the value-chain operational areas at HBO LAG.
•     Work with a matrix team of internal and external project resources across multiple regional locations
•     Work closely with HBO US and external vendors to architect solutions based on HBO LAG requirements
•     Participate in the design of the integration with other systems including Encoding workflow systems, Asset management systems, Post Production Editing Systems, and internal Content Streaming Solutions
•     Oversees the design, architecture, development or enhancement of solutions part of our current broadcast management system or its satellite software applications
•     Suggest and implement testing solutions and work closely with internal and external testing resources to test applications performance and functionality in various locations

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

1.     Accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
2.     4+ years’ experience in Business Information Systems development and implementation.
3.     3+ years’ experience overseeing internal or third-party development teams.
4.     Solid understanding of best practices for developing enterprise-level applications.
5.     Business analysis Expertise
6.     Business software implementation methodologies
7.     Rich Internet Applications design/development experience (Flex, Web Services, Three-Tier Architecture, Messaging Protocols)
8.     Experience with database systems and data modeling, Experience in Service Oriented Architecture development
9.     Solid knowledge rich internet application development frameworks
10.     Expertise in software documentation methodologies
11.     Experience with Agile or other development methodologies
12.     Knowledge of most popular back-ends in the market such as Oracle, Sql, My Sql
13.     Experience integrating complex systems
14.     Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
15.     Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals
16.     Strong customer focus and business value judgement
17.     Strong bias for action and “get it done” attitude
18.     Deep technical skills in the above relevant technologies
19.     Strong analytical skills
20.     Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
21.     Experience developing in HTML5 is a plus
22.     Knowledge of Adobe LiveCycle BPM is a plus
